OnStep BiSS-C Breakout Board for Absolute Encoders

Price is for one PCB, to add absolute encoders to both axes please order two of them. 

This PCB connects to the DB15 on the MaxESP/MaxPCB series boards and adds the ability to read the BiSS-C protocol, as used by many manufacturers for absolute encoders, such as Renishaw/Heidenhain/JTW own brand, etc. 

Using this PCB with an OnStep PCB will give your mount closed loop tracking and prevent it from ever losing position again, the absolute position persists across power cycles unlike an incremental encoder.
